Role Overview

They’re hiring a senior, narrative-led CMO to build and lead all marketing, communications, and brand functions, shaping how the company is perceived across users, partners, investors, media, and the industry.

The role combines deep expertise in PR, storytelling, executive communications, and crisis management with high-level leadership across brand, content, and go-to-market alignment. 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Translate company goals into clear marketing strategy across brand, content, community, and awareness.

  • Partner with product and leadership to craft go-to-market narratives for launches and features.

  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing marketing and communications team.

  • Manage budgets, agencies, contractors, and external partners.

Communications, PR & Narrative

  • Develop the long-term narrative positioning the company as a category leader in fintech/Web3.

  • Own global PR and communications strategy - story, messaging, reputation, and reach.

  • Build strong relationships with global media across fintech, crypto, tech, and business.

  • Secure high-quality features, founder profiles, and Tier 1 media coverage.

  • Serve as primary contact for press and media inquiries.

Brand & Content Strategy

  • Define brand positioning and voice; ensure consistency across all touchpoints.

  • Build powerful social presence and oversee high-quality content (narratives, explainers, videos, blogs).

  • Ensure alignment with product, design, and community teams on messaging and releases.

Executive & Thought Leadership

  • Shape and elevate the public presence of founders and senior leadership.

  • Write speeches, talking points, op-eds, threads, and announcements.

  • Prepare executives for interviews, AMAs, livestreams, and major appearances.

Crisis & Reputation Management

  • Own crisis communication planning, response, and escalation frameworks.

  • Draft statements, Q&As, and internal guidance for sensitive situations.

  • Monitor narrative risks and act proactively to protect brand reputation.

Partnerships & Intelligence

  • Build strategic relationships with influencers, media partners, and ecosystem leaders.

  • Monitor media, brand sentiment, competitor positioning, and industry trends.

  • Use sentiment and narrative analytics to shape strategy proactively.

  • Strong global media presence and trusted relationships with top-tier outlets.

Requirements

  • 7-12+ years in marketing leadership positions.

  • Leadership experience in B2C high-scale global tech startup. FinTech strongly preferred. Crypto and Web3 background nice to have.

  • Key expertise in PR, communications, narrative strategy, copywriting, and content creation.

  • Proven ability to build marketing systems from scratch and secure major global media coverage.

  • Strong crisis communication experience.

  • Excellent English.
