Our client is  a custom software development and staffing company that has been digging into AI solutions delivery space in the last couple of years. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, with R&D centers across Central and Eastern Europe

The company partners with clients in FinTech, EdTech, Construction Technology, and other high-growth industries. They design and deliver AI-driven solutions that accelerate growth, optimize operations, and enable data-driven decision-making - from automation and predictive analytics to Agentic AI and scalable cloud platforms. With a strong focus on ethical AI, security, and regulatory compliance, every solution is built to deliver measurable business impact and long-term scalability.

Currently they are entering a strategic transformation phase, balancing predictable revenue models with higher-margin, solution-led offerings. They are seeking a CEO / General Manager to lead this next stage of growth with full business ownership and long-term value creation in mind.

Philosophy

Our client believes in results-driven leadership supported by clear strategy. The company intentionally avoids corporate bureaucracy and internal politics, favoring trust, transparency, and direct accountability.

  • Balanced portfolio: solutions + outstaff / outsourcing (not dogmatic, margin- and risk-aware)

  • Predictability over hype, but ambition over stagnation

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in an IT services, outsourcing, or solutions company, preferably as CEO, COO, or senior business leader

  • Experience in profitable companies with 200–1000+ employees, ideally during transformation or scaling phases

  • Strong commercial background (sales, bizdev,growth, account management, or P&L ownership)

  • Hands-on involvement in presales, key deals, and strategic client relationships

  • Ability to orchestrate multiple business functions, not operate in a single silo

  • Advanced / fluent English (mandatory)

  • High level of personal maturity, integrity, and accountability

  • Strong understanding of delivery models (T&M, Fixed Price, Outstaffing) and how to balance margin vs predictability

  • mobility - being open and able to do road shows, visit customers and trade shows


Nice to Have

  • Personal network of clients or partners that can be leveraged responsibly

  • Experience building or scaling solution-based or verticalized offerings

  • Experience implementing OKRs, KPIs, EOS, or similar operating systems

  • Background in companies that successfully transitioned from pure delivery to value-added services

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of business results (revenue, margins, growth, dividends)

  • Define and execute a clear growth strategy (6–12–18 month horizon)

  • Balance and evolve the company’s solutions and outstaff / outsourcing offerings

  • Build, lead, and upgrade the executive team (CxOs, Heads of Functions)

  • Personally participate in key sales, growth, and partnership initiatives

  • Increase gross and net margins while maintaining revenue predictability

  • Introduce scalable processes without killing speed or ownership

  • Strengthen client relationships and ensure high NPS

  • Restore and evolve the company culture in line with founders’ original values

What Else Is Important

  • This is not a corporate role - politics, over-structuring, and optics-driven management will not work

  • The CEO / GM will have real authority: strategy, hiring/firing, structure, budget, and execution

  • The Board operates on trust and direct agreements, not micromanagement

  • Energy level, mobility, and personal drive matter

Decision Process

  • Final decision is made by the Founders / Board

  • Evaluation focuses heavily on maturity, attitude, commercial thinking, and real results, not polished presentations

  • Cultural fit and trustworthiness are as critical as experience
