The Challenge

After three years and 150K+ paying users, the company had no dedicated analyst and no single trusted source of metrics for leadership. The new hire had to define the KPI tree, build the stack from event tracking to BI and give the CPO and CEO daily dashboards. Data came from three separate streams: card transactions, crypto wallets and on-chain activity. The ideal profile combined payments, crypto, analytics built from scratch, executive reporting and a European time zone. Candidates on the market covered three of these five at most.

What VP Team Did

We ran five sourcing rounds with our AI sourcing agent and processed more than 200 profiles. Four strong candidates reached screening, each with confirmed experience building analytics from zero. For every candidate we sent the hiring team a structured summary tailored to the role, which helped them decide faster. One lesson we took into our standard screening: check spoken English directly, because the role works with an international leadership team.
